Terms of Service
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CodeSOTA's services, including the document intelligence API, website at codesota.com, and any related tools or features (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Kacper Wikiel (“we”, “us”, “CodeSOTA”).
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Service Description
CodeSOTA provides a document intelligence API that converts unstructured documents (PDFs, images, scanned files) into structured formats such as JSON and Markdown.

- --API access for document processing and OCR
- --Conversion of unstructured documents to JSON, Markdown, and other structured formats
- --Benchmark data and state-of-the-art tracking for ML models (free tier)
- --Dashboard for managing API keys, usage, and account settings
Accounts & Registration
To access paid features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for:
- --Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
- --All activity that occurs under your account
- --Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.
Subscriptions & Payment
Paid access to the Service is available through monthly subscription plans. All payment processing is handled by Paddle.com, which acts as our Merchant of Record.
- --Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
- --Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT calculations
- --Prices displayed inclusive or exclusive of tax as determined by Paddle
- --Cancel anytime; access continues until end of billing period
- --We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
Refunds & Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
- --You retain access until the end of your current billing period
- --No further charges will be made after cancellation
- --Refund requests within 14 days of a charge are evaluated on a case-by-case basis

Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- --Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- --Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- --Resell, sublicense, or redistribute API access without authorization
- --Submit documents containing malware or malicious code
- --Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security measures
- --Process documents you do not have the legal right to process
Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.
Intellectual Property
Your content
You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the structured output generated from them. We do not claim ownership over your input or output data.
Our service
The Service, including its design, code, benchmark data, APIs, and documentation, is owned by CodeSOTA and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Data Processing
Documents submitted to the API are processed to generate structured output and are not retained after processing is complete, unless explicitly configured otherwise in your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Service Availability & Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or 100% accurate processing results. OCR and document parsing are inherently imperfect processes. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeSOTA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to CodeSOTA in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Warsaw, Poland.
